These organic, minimalist stoneware plates are handmade in Latvia by Laima ceramics, are are finished in a white matte, black or taupe satin glaze with subtle speckles, reminiscent of a quail-egg surface- soft, tactile, and quietly expressive.
The plates feature an irregular, gently inward-turned rim that adds movement and depth while remaining practical in daily use. The inward edge is reinforced, allowing the plates to stack neatly and securely despite their organic shape. This thoughtful detail also makes it easy to scoop food against the rim, enhancing both serving and eating comfort.
Formed with a pleasantly rounded edge and balanced proportions, the plates feel substantial in the hands. High-fired at stoneware temperatures, they become non-porous, strong, and highly durable, designed for repeated use and long-term reliability.
