Frequently Asked Questions
General Info
Yes. Every item at Euporium is crafted by skilled artisans who create in small batches to ensure exceptional quality and authenticity. Farmers use traditional and mainly manual techniques, ensuring sustainability and control of the natural environment.
Our products are sourced exclusively from talented makers and small farms and cooperatives across Europe. The country of origin of both the materials and manufacturing is always Europe- including the UK and Schengen countries- and we are committed to maintaining this.
We partner only with trusted artisans and hand pick each item. Before a product is added to the store, we try to sample each product individually to ensure it meets our standards. We ensure our makers are EU compliant in advance of listing their products. Our makers and farmers by design are committed to creating the highest quality product possible.
Our products are made in limited quantities, often by hand, with meaningful attention to detail—offering a level of craftsmanship and authenticity that mass production can’t match. Quality, natural and sustainable materials are simply not used in mass market production. Materials are sourced locally where possible, limiting the carbon footprint. Attention is paid to each process- many skills passed down through generations. It's an old fashioned, local philosophy.
Sustainable products is our mission. We work only with makers who prioritize responsibly harvested, eco-friendly, or organic materials wherever possible. Where the farmer has achieved the EU bio certification, we show it against the product. Not all products we sell have that certification. It's more important to us that the farmers and makers share our same values in creating a sustainable future for all Europeans. We try to avoid to overstate sustainability as a core feature of every product, because we are not always achieving a perfect circular journey. All our makers believe in sustainability and achieve impressive things in many different ways. There is always improvements we can make and we are on this journey together.
