Talented Italian artisan potter Sandra has created this exquisite tea pot and cup set for us. They are made completely by hand with burgundy stoneware, which has a natural, earthy appearance. They are set on a hand crafted cherry tree wood tray.

Included in this set is one tea pot, 2 cups and a cherry tree wooden tray.

This tea set is currently being hand made and will come out of the kiln at the end of April. The photo is showing a similar product.

Meet the Maker

Sandra Olivieri is the hands of Asperitas- a small studio in the far East of Italy, creating beautiful pieces as well as holding workshops regularly for the local community.

Sandra practices sustainable methods in her work, from the use of low colour clays and glazes, to recycling all leftover clay to create zero waste pieces, and investing in a sedimentation tank to recycle water and ensure clay doesn't seep into waterways.

Meet the Maker

Asperitas is the ceramics studio of Sandra Olivieri, based in Gorizia in northeast Italy, her home town, and founded in 2021.

Sandra makes functional ceramics- cups, bowls, teapots, plates- entirely by hand, using mineral-rich clays whose natural tones she blends using the Japanese neriage technique to create unrepeatable marbled patterns, with minimal glazes and nothing added for appearance’s sake.
