Capobianco Organic Farm

Capobianco Organic Farm sits on 320 hectares in the countryside of Foggia, on the ancient road that once led from the city to the sea. This is the heart of Puglia's tomato country, one of the most productive growing regions in Italy, with the soil, heat, and light that makes southern Italian tomatoes what they are. The farm is a young project, founded by Rachele and Vincenzo Capobianco, but their family roots in the agri-food sector run more than four generations deep. Vincenzo brought knowledge from the agricultural mechanisation industry; Rachele brought the farming background.
What distinguishes Capobianco from most tomato producers is their fully traceable and transparent supply chain. Their processing facility is located at the heart of their fields, allowing them to maintain a fully closed supply chain and guarantee the freshness and quality of every jar. Tomatoes are harvested by hand at peak ripeness and processed on-site within hours. The farm employs up to 17 people, 60% of whom are women.
The varieties they grow are selected for aroma, antioxidant content, and flavour rather than uniformity or shelf appearance- unusual orange and yellow cherry tomatoes, sweet datterini, and classic peeled whole tomatoes.
What we love about Capobianco Organic Farm
We are in regular contact with Rachele, whose friendliness and energy is contagious. We feel the passion for not only their business, but their pride of their Apulian heritage and the place they play for its future. And, we haven't even mentioned the exquisite design and quality of the jars of tomatoes- irresistible and flavour that you will not find in your everyday supermarket.
