Vinzü
Vinzü is a fine food business based in the Dordogne, in southwest France, operating as both a producer and distributor of plant-based specialty products. Founded by Vincent and run from the hamlet of Sainte Colombe near Lalinde, the business describes itself as an épicerie fine et végétale du sud-ouest- a fine and plant-based grocery store of the southwest. The concept is built around sourcing exceptional, predominantly organic products from small local producers across the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, with a strong emphasis on naturalness, creativity, and quality.
The product range is broad but coherent, covering savoury and sweet grocery staples, drinks, and wellbeing products. Within that you'll find things like virgin hazelnut oil from the Périgord, wild marsh pepper, organic comb honey, seaweed harvested on the Île de Ré, mushroom and truffle products, mustards, spices and flowers, kombuchas, and artisan jams.
A significant part of Vinzü's identity is the relationship it maintains with its producers. The business takes an almost editorial approach to sourcing- going out to meet producers, building relationships, and presenting them as individual stories rather than anonymous suppliers. Alongside home consumers and food lovers, Vinzü actively serves Michelin-starred chefs and fine food retailers, which positions it firmly at the premium end of the market.
