Pirate Cannerie is an artisanal micro cannery of fish in the Landes. All products are 100% handmade by artisan Lucie. At the heart of the company is transparency, traceability and respect for life. The vision of Pirate Cannerie is to rejuvenate canned food with modern and tasty recipes while promoting local and French fishing.

Meet the Maker

Pirate Cannerie owner Lucie fetches her fish at the fish auction in Saint Jean de Luz, in the Basque Country, and transforms everything in an old duck farm that she took over a few kilometers away in the Landes. She also gets mackerel and sardines directly from the small fishermen of Ciboure, but also works with tuna and trout from the Pyrenees, which comes from Saint Étienne de Baigori. Working alone, it is a small production, so not all recipes are available all year round but rotate according to the seasonality of the fish. Only trout is available all year round. 100% traceable ingredients.
